RECORD HOLDER AIMS TO PROMOTE HEALTH WITH NATCHEZ TRACE TREK
Rob Powell, World Fitness Champion, his message to Mississippi, the fattest of the 50 states: cut the fat.
Coach Powell, a Texas, Teacher/Coach wants his message out so badly, that on Monday, he began cycling the 450 Mile Natchez Trace, from Natchez to Nashville, with a goal to do it all in 4 days, while stopping to visit with all forms of media, along the way.
Guinness recognized Powell's accomplishments, after he crushed the former record held by Joe Decker, adding much more to the event, and completed it 2 hours faster.
In a span of 22 hours, 11 minutes and 40 seconds, Powell swam 2 miles, ran 12, hiked 12 , did 1,250 push-ups, 1,250 leg lifts, 1,250 jumping jacks, 110 mile cycle, 20 mile row, 20 mile elliptical, 3,250 crunches, and lifted 300,000 pounds of weight, using bench press, lat pulls, seated row, triceps extension, and curls.
'Guinness said that record will not be touched for at least 10 years', said Beau Brabbin, Powell's manager, 'but he will shatter it, this October' ''
