**** These are the Rules that Rob Powell followed, and the Rules Guinness World Records holds as the standard. These rules must be followed for a credible Guinness World Record Physical Fitness Challenge attempt. These rules were established by Rob Powell during his World Record Performances.
These rules were sent to Guinness World Records, upon request, by Guinness World Records in December, 2002.****

GUINNESS WORLD RECORD® RULES FOR THE PHYSICAL FITNESS CHALLENGE....

1) All Events Must Be Witnessed By No Less Than 9 Guinness World Record Approved Officials, With  No Less Than 3 On Duty At All Times.
2) All Distances Must Be Measured Accurately By No Less Than 3 Certified Sources.

3) Every Push Up, Leg Lift, and Jumping Jack Must Be Performed Correctly And Fully To Be Counted.

4) All Cardio Equipment Must Be Tested For Accuracy, By No Less Than 3 Certified Sources.

5) All Weights Must Be Weighed Accurately By No Less Than 3 Certified Sources, And Lifted Fully And Properly To Be Counted.
No Double Pulley Weight Systems Allowed.

6) Every Second Of The Attempt Must Be Videotaped To Be Considered.

7) No IV Units Will Be Allowed During An Attempt; If An IV Unit Is Necessary, The Competitor/Athlete Is Disqualified.

EVENTS : PHYSICAL FITNESS CHALLENGE

ALL EVENTS MUST BE COMPLETED IN THIS ORDER !!!!

1. 2 Mile Swim, in a 25 yard, or 25 meter pool, (140, or 128 turns)
(the swim must be completed before moving on to the run)

2. 12 Mile Run
(the run must be completed before moving on to the hike)

3. 12 Mile Hike
(the hike must be completed before moving on to the next events, no running allowed during hike)

4. 1,250 Push-ups
5. 1,250 Leg Lifts
(events 4 and 5 can be divided any way the competitor wishes, but these events must be completed before moving on to # 6)

6. 1,250 Jumping Jacks (must be performed completely, correctly and accurately before moving on to event # 7)

7. 110 Mile Cycle (accurate/exactly, stop as often as needed)

8. 20 Mile Row (Concept 2 Rower ONLY. Stop as often as needed)

9. 20 Mile Elliptical Machine (Precore ONLY. Stop as often as needed)

Events 7, 8, and 9, may be ''rotated'', any way the competitor wishes, but must be completed before moving on to the last 2 events.

10. 3,250 Abdominal Crunches (performed correctly)

11. 300,000 Pounds Of Weights Lifted ( NO LEG WEIGHTS ALLOWED !!!! Using Only, Bench Press, Lat Pull Downs, Seated Rows, Triceps Extension and Biceps Curls).

****ALL WEIGHTS MUST BE LIFTED PROPERLY, COMPLETELY AND FULLY, WITH FULL REPETETIONS !!!! NO ''SHORT ARMING'' !!!! ****

All weights must be tested/weighed for accuracy, by no less then 3 certified sources.

30,000 Pound Minimum Of Each Weight Discipline.

Last 2 Events May Be Divided As The Competitor Wishes.

THE CLOCK NEVER STOPS UNTIL THE LAST WEIGHT IS LIFTED, OR THE LAST CRUNCH PERFORMED !!!!

NO OTHER ORDER, OR SUBSTITUTIONS ARE ACCEPTABLE AS AN ATTEMPT ON THE RECORDS SET BY ROB POWELL, FOR THE PHYSICAL FITNESS CHALLENGE.
