World’s Toughest Sport

2 Mile Swim WFC/Guinness WR 2001 Waco YMCA WFC Competitors

Rob Powell, has been called pound for pound, the strongest athlete and fighter in history, as well as the greatest athlete in history. What is known is with 4 WFC/Guinness World Records and 4 World Fitness Championship Titles in a row from 2001-2004, with 150+ records in Sports/Fitness/MMA Rob Powell is the GREATEST EXTREME FITNESS, and ENDURANCE ATHLETE IN HISTORY.
This is a title Rob is recognized for worldwide. No one has legitimately come close to his mentally tough and physical performances.

For many years law enforcement officers, military elite and MMA fighters have sought out Coach Powell in gyms, fitness centers and even public schools for martial arts training, conditioning, tactics and survival training. At the same time, Rob has coached Jr. High, High School, College and Professional athletes in several sports. With all these credentials Rob founded the WFC Workout, The Proven World’s Fittest & Best Workout. This is the proven best training and conditioning program in history.

Rob has also been recognized by media outlets internationally as “The World’s Fittest Man”. A title once held by Martial Artist Bruce Lee, “The Best Athlete In History”, “The World’s Toughest Man”, and “The Best Conditioning Coach & Personal Trainer on the Planet.”
When asked about all this, Rob laughed about it all and said. “Very flattering and I appreciate all the accolades but how did they measure all of that? Besides, if its not a major sport like football, soccer, baseball, basketball or hockey no one cares and there is no money in it anyway. To me this is and has always been about helping people live richer, fuller, healthier and happier lives, and that’s it. Not to make people jealous because of what they consider to be superhuman accomplishments. The entire goal was to help people train better and smarter. To do this I had to do something big to prove my training theories as fact, so I broke all the world records in these fields.”

Well perhaps he overdid it quite a bit. However, there is no arguing his theories are now proven fact about training and working out with his WFC Workout. It is the true Proven World’s Fittest & Best Workout. Rob has over 150 Course and World Records involving Fitness, Running, Cycling, Swimming, Rowing, Climbing, Hiking, Triathlons, Weightlifting, Calisthenics, Track and Field, and Martial Arts.
Rob also has over 1,000 wins as an athlete and a coach.

All the events were witnessed by dozens of people including nine WFC and Guinness Certified Officials.
Every second was videotaped, capturing each and every discipline event by event, mile by mile and lift by lift.

Rob was asked by Guinness to record these events as performed and write the rules that he used. These rules and events remain the Standard for Fitness Internationally, as well as the Standard for the WFC World Records and The Guinness World Record’s 2001 and 2002 Physical Fitness Challenge Guinness World Records. Since 2002, it has been reported numerous times that Guinness has significantly lowered these standards and changed the events for their Guinness world record for “safety purposes”, so their countrymen may have a chance at this record. The rules, standards and events are not even in the same ballpark as what Rob did. It is now so much easier that Rob and The WFC no longer recognize Guinness in every sense of the word. Since 2002, Guinness new rules and standards certainly isn’t the strict rules and events Rob Powell followed and performed.

International World Record Standards and THE WFC nor any other credible organization will recognize any attempt without following the Rules and Standards set by Rob Powell in his World Record accomplishments. No one would refuse to follow these Rules and Standards, unless they had something to hide. See Events and Rules for more information.

The WFC World Fitness Championships & World Fitness Challenge which Rob Powell formed based on his Four WFC/Guinness World Records & Four World Championships has a loyal and dedicated following worldwide. These records and accomplishments have led to today’s much lesser and safer multi-sport ocr type races and crossfit competitions.

Rob Powell retired from competition in 2012 and retired from training elite military and law enforcement in 2022. He still works with the public and athletes as a personal trainer with The WFC Workout, The Proven World’s Fittest & Best Workout. With over 1,000 wins as an athlete and coach, he wants to share what he has learned about winning with younger coaches and athletes, so he teaches and coaches whenever possible.

Rob always says. “It’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how fast you get up, and get back in the fight, until you win!”. He also says. “When it’s all over, all we really leave behind is our story. Make yours a good one that can help and inspire others.”
